Educational Qualification:

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks (or equivalent) from a recognized University, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from an NCTE-recognized institution. Off-campus and unapproved distance degrees are strictly not accepted.
• Graduate Teacher (GT): Candidates must possess Graduation or Post Graduation in Arts / Science / relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University and a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• Medium / Language Requirement: Candidates must have passed HSLC/equivalent examination with the concerned medium or MIL subject, or possess a recognized language certificate/diploma, or studied up to HSLC in the respective medium school.
• Residential Requirement: Candidates must be a permanent resident of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area.

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age (Unreserved): 38 Years as on calculation date.

Category-Wise Age Relaxation:

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 11,800/- per month (Pay Band-3) plus other allowances admissible under government rules.
• Graduate Teacher (GT): Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- per month (Pay Band-2) plus other allowances admissible under government rules.

Selection of candidates will be based strictly on merit through a transparent evaluation process:

1. TET cum Recruitment Test (140 Marks):
   • Pedagogy: 50 Marks
   • About Assam & Its People: 50 Marks
   • General English: 30 Marks
   • General Studies & Current Affairs: 10 Marks
2. Special Incentive / Weightage Marks:
   • NCC / Sports / Cultural Activities: Up to 5 Marks (5 for 'C' cert, 3 for 'B' cert; 5 marks for National Sports/Cultural representation).
   • Higher Secondary TET Weightage: 5% of marks secured in earlier HS TET (Max 5 Marks).
   • Contractual Teacher Weightage: 5 Marks for candidates engaged on 6-month contractual basis by BTC in 2025.
3. Document Verification: Digital verification via DigiLocker / QR verification and physical screening.
4. Medical Fitness Examination: Mandatory medical screening prior to formal appointment.
